The item was shipped in a small mailer; inside was a small black "velvet" bag w/a small display box inside of that. No trouble with shipping. The item was better than described w/a minimum of inclusions to the naked eye. Personally, I think the value of this gem is much higher than the price I paid!!! I'll have to get my jeweler's opinion. It will be mounted in a 14k gold pendant type setting & worn with other birthstones on a necklace I wear 24/7. It's my mother's birthstone. Thank you!
