MY RESEARCH ON THESE DOGS SUGGESTS THE FOLLOWING: This pair of Antique English Staffordshire Spaniel Dogs are decorated only on the front side. They have concave bases that are a rich cobalt blue. The pair is decorated with gilt collar and chain. The foot rim has cobalt blue base glaze coming up and onto where the dogs are sitting. These are characteristics of genuine not reproduction Staffordshire. Size 4 3/4 inches tall by 3 1/8 inches wide base. Notice the 1/8 inch hole on bases to allow heat to escape.
