Description

Vtg 70s Seiko Bullhead 6138-0049 Automatic Steel Chronograph Full Size Bracelet. After a long period of non use, be patient and simply wear it. Not hiding anything on the contrary trying to disclose as much as possible. That's about it. Up for sale is a really cool full length bracelet vintage 1970's Made in Japan Automatic Chronograph from "Seiko, Bullhead Model". I purchased this particular watch in the US in 2024 from a watch collector. Photos were taken with natural light, some reflections from other objects appear in some photos. This particular watch is I believe 44 mm not including the crown and comes with a rare full length bracelet, it has not been resized and has full links. It is a chunky piece of horology, if your wrist size is smaller than 7 inches, I do not recommend this model. By the way for disclosure, my wrist size in the photos is 7.7/8 inch and the bracelet still has more room. Overall it shows well for it's age with normal patina, marks, dents, light scratches throughout the case and bracelet, (it looks like it has never been polished) see all photos for details. The seller told me at time of my purchase that he had the acrylic glass replaced. Before listing it, I had it looked over by my watch maker and he confirmed the good overall condition of the movement even though it runs a little slow especially if it has not been worn for a while. After a long period of non use, be patient and simply wear it. Also, my watch guy said "Do not engage the Chronograph unless the watch movement has gain enough strength, otherwise it could get stock or stop working properly " after all it is an over 40 years old watch. He also said the watch at this time do not need to be serviced (please read the condition section below). Please, feel free to ask any questions. ****Cartier Case not included with the sale**** Condition: This is a used vintage automatic chronograph watch therefore it is accurate like a vintage watch not an Apple watch. Not hiding anything on the contrary trying to disclose as much as possible. I am an enthusiast not a collector and have limited knowledge when it comes to vintage watches, I mostly buy them for esthetic and coolness, nothing else. On and off, I spent over a year looking for this specific model and in this configuration, wanted it as much as possible original and unmolested with a full size bracelet and in the US as well. Everything seems original to the watch with a nice overall patina, all original markings throughout including the bracelet look good. Right hand side pusher which resets the chronograph is lazy and will comeback to it's initial position a little slower than the other or could be helped manually. "My watch guy said to leave it alone for now " (not the reason I am selling this amazing piece, just need to raise some funds). Beware it has not been tested if waterproof or not, as you already know a word of caution is needed when it comes to use/wear vintage watches, they are mostly not waterproofs, sealed are old etc..That's about it. Special note: *If there is a problem just let me know and I will fix it in no time. There is never a reason to leave a negative feedback before contacting me first thank you. I do my best to take high quality photos, tend to over-describe my items to establish trust and confidence.
