Guide: Adjusting the Omega Calibre 1020 Step 1: Understand the Crown Positions The functions change depending on how far the crown is pulled out: Position 0 (Pushed in): Manual winding. Position 1 (Pulled out slightly): Date adjustment mode. Position 2 (Pulled out fully): Time setting and "Hacking" (stops the second hand). Step 2: Changing the Date Pull the crown out to Position 1. Turn the crown clockwise (away from you) to advance the date one day at a time. Step 3: Changing the Day (Important!) The Calibre 1020 features a unique mechanism where the day of the week is linked to the time-setting gears rather than a standard quick-set wheel. Pull the crown out to Position 2. Rotate the hands counter-clockwise (backward). As the hands pass midnight in reverse, the day disk will click back one day. Continue rotating the hands backward until the desired day is displayed. ⚠️ Precautions (Please Read) The "Danger Zone": Avoid using the Position 1 date quick-set when the watch time is between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM. During these hours, the date-change gears are already engaged; forcing them can cause permanent damage. Safety Tip: Move the hands to the 6 o'clock position before making adjustments. Operate Gently: Since these are vintage movements, the gears may be worn. Do not rotate the hands too quickly when changing the day; use slow, steady movements.
