Description
Vintage Handmade Hebrew SHIVITI Wall Hanging Plaque From Israel.. The plaque features Hebrew inscriptions, including the “72 Names of God”, and biblical verses. This traditional Jewish amulet is basically used for protection and meditation. The 4-1/4” by 3-1/4” plaque is likely resin encased in a metal frame, with an attached chain for hanging. Total hanging length is 7-1/2”. The five tassels at the bottom, each about 2” in length, also seen likely to be made of resin. All in all, considering its age, the Shiviti is in very nice condition, with no visible signs of cracks or chips on the plaque or tassels. The metal frame shows some scratches and pock marks on its backside (see pics), but no cracks, tarnish, or rust. This comes from a smoke free, Judaica home.
