Vintage Indiana Glass Clear Glass Hen on Nest (HON) is a timeless and elegant piece, featuring the classic HON with the red comb. This HON has a linage from the late 1935 -1958 production timeframe. I'm not sure of exact year of purchase though the original owner had a farm of HONs in her home. You will see the red comb has lost some color, for its age this is to be expected as early HONs were heavily painted and fade over time. She's truly showing er. There is 1 small chip on the rim of the nesting basket (please see close-up photos for exact scale). The chip sits right on the contact edge where the two pieces meet so it is largely concealed from view when the hen lid is resting securely on the nest. It displays beautifully! It has been carefully kept in a curio cabinet, protected from direct sunlight and heat to preserve its beauty.
