Vintage Girard-Perregaux 17 Jewels Two-Tone Dial Roman Numerals 1960s Watch. The watch is currently running well, but there is no known service history available. Denotes current condition. Description: Classic 1960s Girard-Perregaux manual wind dress watch with beautiful two-tone black and white dial and elegant Roman numerals. The watch is currently running well, but there is no known service history available. The nickel/chrome plating on the case is heavily worn, as clearly shown in all photos and video. Please examine them carefully before purchasing. The watch also shows small scratches and signs of use consistent with a 50 to 60 year old vintage timepiece. The dial displays lovely tonal variation and patina acquired through the decades, giving the watch a strong vintage character. Plexiglass crystal has light marks from normal wear. A very charming and honest vintage Girard-Perregaux with lots of mid-century atmosphere You are bidding for a vintage classic watch in very nice all round condition as one can see in the pictures/video. The movement is in working condition but may not operate as a brand new watch. The watch may need servicing for regular use and the buyer will need to have this done. Often times these watches have been forgotten in a jewelers desk or in a back room for 30 plus years. I like to save them from that demise and get them back into the hands of collectors. It doesn't take very long for old gummy oil to stop a movement from running ( many times just a week or so ) or even worse if the oil is dried out it might not take too long for the watch to grind itself up inside. This is not specific to my watches, but to all that have not been serviced in the last few years. For this reason we only wind a watch a few turns to verify if it will go through the paces, so please understand I can only tell you if the watch is running here.
