Description
This is a cool pair of sunglasses from Chanel. They feature a modified cat-eye/bow tie shape in black acetate with the signature double-C branding at the temples and on the interior of the temple tips. Made in Italy, they have the serial number C735041 and are marked “5012 c.501/91 50[]20 135.” They come with their original, branded, hinged, hard case with an interior Chanel label and a label from “positive EYE-ONS,” the Los Angeles store where they were purchased. They are in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with their age and use; no major scratches have been detected. The frames are slightly warped in the way that they took shape from the original wearers face; it is a minor issue and could easily be adjusted at any glasses store/optometry office. The case has a sort of a sueded/rubberized texture; there are areas of rubbing, one small gouge to the texture, and some discoloration but it continues to function beautifully. The frames measure approximately 5.5”Wx5”Dx1.5”H. The case measures approximately 6.5”Lx2.5”Dx1.85”H.
