Description

Vintage 1993 Seiko Railroad Approved Sports 50 7N43-9A00 White Dial Men's Watch. Watch is overall in very good condition. The stainless case has very, very few scratches or nicks. The mineral glass crystal does have scratches. These normal wear scratches are more visible when the watch is at a certain angle to the light and it does not affect the straight on view of the watch or obscure the dial in any manner. The designation "Railroad Approved" carries deep historical significance in timekeeping. Historically, watches utilized by railway employees had to meet incredibly strict standards for accuracy, high legibility, and anti-magnetic performance. Seiko brought high-accuracy quartz technology to the railroad sector in the late 1970s. This specific model utilizes the reliable 7N43 quartz movement. It retains the iconic, highly legible railroad aesthetic: a stark white dial, bold black Arabic numerals, an inner red 24-hour track, and a prominent red sweep second hand for immediate visibility. New battery was professionally installed in June 2026. It sits on a brand new very comfortable silicone watch band.
