Offering in BRAND NEW OLD STOCK CONDITION... a vintage 1978 HAND SCARF by Fantasy Clothes of Barrytown, New York Guaranteed to attract attention. Soft sculpture was all the rage back in 1978. I purchased this wonderful clever handmade SOFT SCULPTURE HAND SCARF brand new at an art gallery in Los Angeles forty years ago. The soft fabric has a floral design and is 56 inches long, not including the oversize soft sculpture hands which are sewn in to the ends of the scarf. I was a professional photographer at the time, took one look at this unique scarf and thought it would be great for a photo shoot but stashed it away and never got around to using it. It is in LIKE NEW UNUSED CONDITION and has been carefully stored in a mothproof plastic tub in a smoke-free and pet-free environment for over forty years. Clothes designer Chen Peng may have been inspired by this scarf, as a somewhat similar but much larger full length hand scarf was seen on the runway at New York Fashion Week Fall 2019. (See last two pictures.)
