Vintage 1941 Hamilton Myron 10K GF Tank Watch Cal 980 17J -Just Serviced. This is a JUST SERVICED 1941 Hamilton Myron. The Myron was produced between 1940 and 1942 (and briefly again after the war). It is distinguished by those "bumpy" or stepped lugs and the 10K Gold Filled case The S&W mark on the case indicates it was manufactured by Schwab & Wuischpard, a high-end New York-based case maker that produced for Hamilton, Longines, and Patek Philippe until 1963. This is a JUST SERVICED 1941 Hamilton Myron. The Myron was produced between 1940 and 1942 (and briefly again after the war). It is distinguished by those "bumpy" or stepped lugs and the 10K Gold Filled case The S&W mark on the case indicates it was manufactured by Schwab & Wuischpard, a high-end New York-based case maker that produced for Hamilton, Longines, and Patek Philippe until 1963. It is a 980 movement, which was Hamilton’s premier 17-jewel rectangular movement used in their "tank" style watches from the mid-30s through the early 50s. • Case: 10k Gold Filled. No visible brassing or "wear-through" on the lugs or sides. • Movement: Manual wind with small seconds sub-dial; recently serviced and functional. • Dial: Original patina with applied gold-tone Arabic numerals and "railtrack" minute/second scales. • Crystal: in good condition with a few light scratches, which you’d expect given its age • Band: Period-correct vintage lizard skin strap. Watch is running and keeping time. Service history is unknown and accuracy and/or power reserve not tested over 24 hours. As with all vintage watches, service may be necessary in the future.
