About Tavannes: Founded 1891, Tavannes Watch Co. was one of the great early Swiss manufacturers — by 1938 it claimed to be the 4th largest watchmaker in the world. The company developed its own calibres and supplied movements to names including Jaeger-LeCoultre, Cartier, and Hermès, and worked closely with Cyma.
