Charming pair of round vintage silhouette wall hangings, dating back to the early 20th century (circa 1930). Each piece features a black cut-out silhouette of a courting couple dressed in 18th-century attire, set against a warm sepia-toned background. The images are framed under glass with black painted edging. • Size: Approximately 4” diameter each (see photos with measurements) • Design: One depicts a gentleman bowing and kissing a lady’s hand; the other shows a gentleman presenting a gift to a lady. • Backs: Original paper backing with handwritten notes dating April 1930, referencing these being given as engagement gifts. • Condition: Age wear visible with some edge chipping, minor tape reinforcement, and light wear to backing (see photos). Displays beautifully with wonderful antique patina. A lovely example of 1930s decorative silhouette art, perfect for collectors of vintage wall décor, romantic keepsakes, or historical silhouettes.
