I buy and sell VCRs + these two absolutely need the remote to get past the menu. The remotes are available on eBay separately from other sellers. I have plugged these in and they both work but I can't test any functionality past power without the remote and I have tons of other VCRs and I don't want to deal with these two. I'm selling them as a lot for parts of repair. However I'm pretty sure they're perfectly fine. They just need the remote.
