Am Anfang steht freilich mit „Panik-Udo / No Panic On The Titanic“ der Beweis, dass die Perlen des ganz frühen Andrea Doria-Lindenberg auch in englischer Sprache glänzen. Genau andersherum funktionieren dann die Alben Lindenbergs Rock Revue und „Der Detektiv“. Hier gelingt es ihm immer noch erstaunlich gut, angloamerikanische Klassiker jenseits von bloßer Nostalgie in seine ganz eigene Muttersprache zu übertragen. Da wird die „Penny Lane“ der Beatles natürlich zur „Reeperbahn“, eine Selbstverständlichkeit der Interpretation, die auch Paul Simon („Immer noch verrückt nach all den Jahren“), Elton John („Goodbye, Norma Jean“) oder selbst Randy Newman mit „Baltimore“ gerecht wird. Dass Lindenberg daneben auch die ureigenen Geistesblitze nicht ausgegangen waren, demonstrierten Alben wie „Panische Nächte“ und „Dröhnland Symphonie“. So gehört „Bis Ans Ende der Welt“ bis heute zu seinen schönsten Liebesballaden, mit „Sie ist 40“ bewies er früh auch viel Gespür für die reifere Frau in der Krise, und die Rennfahrerpersiflage „Riki Masorati“ ist immer noch ganz großer Sport.   2. Received item as described and packaged well. Listing indicated shipping was free. Ordered on the 7th but by the 14th noticed it hadn’t been shipped yet. Seller responded quickly saying that during the purchase process that it said it would not be shipped until the 22nd because they use a fulfillment house. I don’t recall seeing anything about delayed shipping during the process or in the listing. While I appreciate the prompt response to my inquiry, other buyers should be aware of delays.

  3. The book was brand still plastic wrapped. Looks exactly like the picture for a reasonable price including shipping. In perfect condition. Shipping was slow and I was worried that I was scammed again. Seller did respond to my message after a day and explained the item would be shipped within a week. The item shipping and tracking was updated by the date they stated. Took about 2 weeks to receive item. I’m usually impressed when item is shipped and received within a week.
