Description
This Tommy Singer vintage Tufa cast and mosaic inlay sterling bracelet features a large number of turquoise,coral,and green coral chips making up two warriors. It is by the well known Navajo artist.It is signed, showcasing Native American craftsmanship. Tommy Singer is known for being one of the first Navajo silversmiths to start using mosaic inlay designs with the tiny chips left over when cutting larger stones. I believe this to be an early piece by him as I have studied his work since 2008 and have never seen another piece like this. It is heavy and solid feeling and I don’t think it can be at all adjusted. The most amazing thing about it is that there are NO missing mosaic shards which shows it was treated very carefully by previous owners. In my experience, tiny mosaic shards often fall out because most of the time there are no bezels holding them. These warriors are made up of 4 segments, each created by a thick bezel which holds the pieces safely. It is timeless accessory for special occasions like engagement, anniversary, or birthday. Made in the United States, this bracelet is a beautiful and culturally significant piece of jewelry that will surely stand out in any collection. Inner circumference measures 5.25” and gap is 1.5” for a total of 6.75”. Measures 1.75” north to south and weight is 41.5 grams.
