Set of 4 Currier and Ives Color Foil-Etch Prints from the 1970s,Prints are 8x10". These 4 Currier and Ives prints depict various scenes. The prints have been reproduced through the Color Foil-Etch process which gives them a glowing brilliance. The prints are from the 1970's and show a bit of their age. These 4 Currier and Ives prints depict various scenes. "The Mill Dam At Sleepy Hollow" shows a dam used to power a sawmill, "Farm Life in Summer" depicts oxen pulling a large load of hay or wheat, "Winter Morning" shows animals outside the barn in the winter while a horse drawn sleigh pulls up to a large farmhouse, and "Through to the Pacific" depicts a train heading west to the Pacific Ocean while men build a bridge to connect the train to a nearby small town. The prints have been reproduced through the Color Foil-Etch process which gives them a glowing brilliance. Each print is on 8" x 10" card stock, with the actual print being 5 3/4" x 7 1/2". The prints are from the 1970's and show a bit of their age. The card stock is slightly faded, although the Foil-Etch part is still quite brilliant with depth and detail. The prints (unframed) are tucked into a portfolio with a turned up edge to hold the prints. The portfolio itself is faded with a pen squiggle, a bit of torn paper, and a slightly musty smell.
