Was able to receive local weather radio stations on it. Uses a 9V battery (not included). These radios only receive weather radio stations at 162.400, 162.475, and 162.550. The 12-241 is a vintage portable weather radio by RadioShack. This radio features a telescopic antenna and lightweight design.
