RARE Antique 1890’s+ Victorian Trinket/Jewelry Box!. The box is 6” x 4.5” x 2.5” & sits on small decorative feet and has intricate fretwork and engraved detailing, with a blue velvet-lined interior. Considering the age, this box is in great condition & the inside is very clean. This is a RARE Antique Victorian rectangular jewelry or trinket box featuring elaborate inlay work, likely combining tortoiseshell veneer with bone or ivory and metal accents. The box is 6” x 4.5” x 2.5” & sits on small decorative feet and has intricate fretwork and engraved detailing, with a blue velvet-lined interior. The craftsmanship and materials suggest it was made for export in the late 1890’s to early 1900’s likely in Vizagapatam, India. *This box is marked #10/51. **Note. Considering the age, this box is in great condition & the inside is very clean. There is no key, but all of the original feet are intact with very minimal damage. There are a few damaged places on the exterior, marked in red on the final photos. So please take a close look at the photos before purchasing.
