Description

Precious Moment Ornament, 2000, "The Future Is In Our Hands" 730076 Item Number 730076 Original Box Included No Year of Copyright 2000 Year of Production 2000 Annual Production Mark Cracked Egg " I have chosen the egg because it symbolizes the new millennium and a new beginning. Just as we know little of what the 21 st century will bring, no one knows what is taking place inside an egg. Nor will they completely understand until it is hatched and God’s wonderful plan is revealed. The egg speaks of birth, of new things to come, things known only to God alone.” - Samuel J. Butcher Retired/Suspended Yes Annual Production Mark: Each porcelain bisque Precious Moments figurine has what's known as an annual production mark located on the bottom of it. This strange little mark can be quite helpful in identifying the actual year a specific figurine was made . Except for a few early releases, the symbol is slightly imprinted into the porcelain. Copyright Date: The copyright date is the date the artwork was actually copyrighted. Production usually starts later that year or the following year. How long a specific figurine design remains in production is determined by many factors, including whether or not it’s a limited edition, and how popular it’s with consumers. Retired / Suspended: Generally, 25 to 40 new figurines are produced each launch, four times per year. Some figurines may be suspended or retired. Once a figurine is retired, the mold is broken and it will never again be produced. A suspended figurine means the figurine is indefinitely withdrawn from production. Material: Biscuit porcelain , bisque porcelain or bisque is unglazed, white porcelain treated as a final product, with a matte appearance and texture to the touch.
