In it, you'll find a discussion of positive thinking as a worldview and a way of life, and a detailed methodology that empowers you to fight back. Its framework is the Positive Thinking and You series* exploration of positive thinking and self-governance, and their convergence with the limited government principles that define our Constitution. You'll find that the methodology focuses on - Planning for Success - Pursuing Your Success - Living Your Success And that it includes - All Necessary Procedures - All Necessary Worksheets The guide and methodology are based on Richard's experience, observations, and research. It was his secret weapon as he journeyed from withdrawn 27-year old recovering from a life-altering injury in his parent's home to independence and personal success as a graduate engineer and project manager. *Book 1 Positive Thinking - Your Future and America's Need (a Kindle eBook) Book 2 Positive Thinking - The Foundation of Personal Success (a Kindle eBook) Author Biography I grew up in rural Ohio and had my first story rejection when I was sixteen. Electronics replaced writing as my primary interest after the Air Force introduced me to radar maintenance. Unfortunately, an injury in Michigan followed several years later by six months in a hospital to repair some of the damage caused by the original injury, and a permanent disability assessment, ended my Air Force career. It was disappointing to say the least and I pretty much withdrew from all social activities while convalescing in my parents' home. Then it dawned on me that I was destined to a lonely and bitter life if I didn't change. So I bought a couple of books, discovered positive thinking, and chose to change. The rest, as they say, is history. I earned my engineering degree under the GI bill and started a Civil Service career within the Army's Research, Development, and Acquisition community. My progression from entry level electronics engineer to project manager combined with assignments that ranged from test sites to the Pentagon was much more than satisfying. Along the way I met people having a variety of social standards, encountered several thinking styles and response patterns; refined my writing skills while preparing or contributing to literally hundreds of planning, engineering, and testing documents; learned to solve technical and management problems, and developed my thinking, analyzing, and information organization skills. I've used that background, my experience, and my observations to write the Positive Thinking and You series. Current affairs, particularly those associated with social unrest and a growing disregard of Constitutional principles, have influenced the series' content. At the same time, my technology, relationship, and information organizing experience has guided its continuity and structure. Context and themes reflect a basic conflict. On one side is limited government, tolerance, and assimilation partnered with individuality, responsibility, and accountability. On the other side is a big government with its power complex, inertia, special interest pandering, and corruption partnered with groupthink and the dependency, violence, political correctness, intolerance, and hypocrisy it encourages. Positive thinking keeps me going when I'd rather not.
