Historical Significance: "Mupu" refers to a former Chumash Native American village located in what is now Santa Paula. The label features the Sunkist logo, which was a designation given to high-quality oranges grown by members of the California Fruit Growers Exchange. Artistic Style: It depicts a Native American chief standing at a cliff's edge overlooking a mountain landscape, a common theme in early 20th-century citrus marketing intended to evoke a sense of heritage and natural abundance.
