The DCD1007 is DeWalt’s newest Flagship Drill released in the summer of 2024. They aren’t shy to mention this is their most powerful hammer drill easily outperforming the FlexVolt Advantage hammer drill. It’s an absolute beast of a drill. Some of the upgrades from the previous models DCD999 (flexvolt), DCD998 (powersense), DCD996 (older version XR) DCD985 (max) include: Increased Power. More compact build. It has the shortest length of all DeWalt premium 3-speed drills, which allows access and maneuverability in tight areas. New anti-rotation system that senses rotational motion of the tool and shuts it down if the motion is excessive. Essentially this is an anti-kickback mechanism that protects you from counter-rotation when a large drill bit jams. Improved all metal 3-speed transmission that helps optimize runtime and performance. Better bite on bits from the high bit-retention with the 1/2 in. ratcheting nitro-carburized metal chuck with carbide inserts. Also has Tool Connect Chip System (chip sold separately) that allows you to track and manage things with their app. New pivoting 3-position, push-button LED featuring a 20-minute work light setting with manual on off switch. Drill is brand new and includes the side handle and a belt clip.
