Men's Lord Elgin 21 Jewels 14KT GF Art Deco Wristwatch Grade 670 Forstner Band. Gold filled 21 jewels wristwatch with a 12 KT. The moveable locking clasp receiver is stamped "Forstner---1/20 12KT. The clasp is also locking and has a button to release it when locked in place. GOLD FILLED---4617---1580067". Vintage 1940's - 50's men's Lord Elgin 14 KT. gold filled 21 jewels wristwatch with a 12 KT. gold filled Forstner mesh bracelet.Watch is not running but the balance staff moves freely when shaken and the movement is very clean and bright. Polished 23 mm x 38 mm curved case with sculpted sides, center peaked crystal, gold crown, and turtle style lugs. Silver dial w/ age patina, gold raised Arabic numbers, gold hands, square sunken sub-minute dial with a gold hand, and is marked in black "LORD ELGIN" (with a faint 2nd "L"). Snap on case back is stamped "(star)14K GOLD FILLED". One end edge has a split (last photo). Inside case back stamped "CASED AND TIMED BY ELGIN NATIONAL WATCH CO.---STAR WATCH CASE COMPANY---14 KT. GOLD FILLED---4617---1580067". Movement stamped "ELGIN 670 U-S-A---21 JEWELS---ADJ'D---P534534". The unique mesh bracelet can be adjusted to fit a wrist from under 7" to over 8". The moveable locking clasp receiver is stamped "Forstner---1/20 12KT. G.F. PAT. U.S.A.". The clasp is also locking and has a button to release it when locked in place. I don't believe it will take much to get this neat old watch running, but the dial could use a refinish.
