Mary Frances Genuine Peacock Feathers Embellished Beaded Handbag Shoulder Bag. Mary Frances, retired GENUINE PEACOCK FEATHER embellished Shoulder Handbag Purse with lots of beading, stones, beaded peacock "eyes" with hanging beaded fringe and a big central front flower with iridescent stones. It is a beautiful purse with lots of detail and has been carried. The condition is Very Good, but please note a few qualifictions: PREOWNED : PLEASE NOTE: 1) Some of the genuine feather strands on the back are wispy. They could be tacked down or glued to lay flat against the back as it probably should be, if desired, but I did not mess with them. It is not unsightly and is feather-like. 2) a few tiny missing stones in the bead line on the uppermost petal of the flower on top. (See last picture) 3) Clasp works well and catches tightly. There is no gap front to back when closed. However -- sometimes it is necessary to look down and ensure that the large ball clasp from the back is directly over the tiny ball on the front on which it will be catching. The clasp works easily but double check for the alignment if necessary. (Also See Last Picture) Rulers in pictures. Approx. 8 1/2" x 5 1/4". Chain shoulder strap has a drop of 18-19". Hardware and frame are antique gold or brass, as is the (Removable) Chain Link Shoulder strap, intertwined with black leather. Genuine peacock feathers serve as the background on the front of the bag under the top area, which is completely beaded. The reverse continues the design with a full back of the feathers and beaded top. Lined in iridescent olive green fabric with open inside pocket and MF label sewn in. Kiss Lock closure. Was carried. Even with the aforementioned flaws, which probably would not be noticed by anyone but us, Very Good Pre-Owned Condition.
