Moon Hee-ok debuted in the music industry in 1987 when she released a medley of 'Paldo dialect' while attending Girls' High School. - Amazing Album Sales: Albums with debut songs were a huge success, with a sales record of around 3.6 million copies at the time. This success contributed greatly to catapulting trot medley into the popular mainstream. - Rookie Artist of the Year: Upon her debut, she instantly rose to stardom by winning the Rookie of the Year award at several major award ceremonies, including the Golden Disc Awards that year.
