Would have been willing to pay more for better packaging. It came in brown paper and a box cut to protect only the bottom (or the top of the book); was fortunate that it was not damaged in shipping. At first, I thought it didn't look quite as clean as it did in the picture, but it doesn't smell musty, but my sister said it is okay. Nice wrapping. Not too bulky (fit in mailbox).
