The carvings in Hutsul have been known since ancient times, because cutting wood was the first manifestation of aesthetics and the ability to provide a product of their own vision. In the flat carving, inherent in the Carpathian region, geometric ornaments, lines, circles were used. Circle, as an ancient Slavic sign, is the basis of many Hutsul ornaments. So the most widespread were the six-petal star inscribed in the circle-ridge. Therefore, it is the Rose, with a cut of triangles on the verge, carved on our casted belts.
