After 1997, Eunice Padilla was added to the group as harpsichordist. The members of La Fontegara have completed professional studies in Mexico, Boston, Chicago, New York and The Hague. La Fontegara have made several recordings and given concerts in the U.S., Europe, Central America and South America. Sonatas Novohispanas II Mexican Baroque Music is a continuation of their first album presenting instrumental music by composers found in the Mexican archives of the 18th century. Long considered a fallow period in Mexican musical culture, the 18th century is receiving new attention from scholars upon the discovery of new sources that have allowed a substantial revision of the former view of musical decadence.   2. Received item as described and packaged well. Listing indicated shipping was free. Ordered on the 7th but by the 14th noticed it hadn’t been shipped yet. Seller responded quickly saying that during the purchase process that it said it would not be shipped until the 22nd because they use a fulfillment house. I don’t recall seeing anything about delayed shipping during the process or in the listing. While I appreciate the prompt response to my inquiry, other buyers should be aware of delays.
