Harrison Ellenshaw Signed ORIGINAL PAINTING "Tree and Clouds" c. 2000's Disney and Star Wars Artist FRAMED and Ready to Hang with a Charles Scott Gallery Letter of Authenticity From the Peter and Harrison Ellenshaw Family Archives Academy Award nominated Harrison Ellenshaw (born Peter Samuel Ellenshaw, July 20, 1945, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania) is an American matte painter, following his British father Peter Ellenshaw. He started his career at Walt Disney Studios. He later joined George Lucas's effects studio Industrial Light and Magic (ILM), where he produced many of the matte visual effects backgrounds for the films Star Wars (1977) and The Empire Strikes Back (1980). He then returned to Disney and worked on the 1979 film The Black Hole, for which he and his father were nominated for an Academy Award for their work. He also worked on The Watcher in the Woods (1980), and Tron (1982), for which he was Visual Effects Supervisor, and Dick Tracy (1990). He eventually headed Disney Studio's effects department, Buena Vista Visual Effects (BVVE). He is an official Disney Fine Art artist. This gorgeous piece, "Tree and Clouds", is rendered in acrylic displaying Ellenshaw's impressionist color choices on 24" x 20" canvas. The painting is hand-signed by the artist and framed to 22.5" x 26.5". Painting is in Fine condition. Frame has wear. Ships UPS, up to 1 week handling. Very well packaged up with tape and cardboard. Really fast postage, as well as the photographs matching the delivered item. Very good value for money. It was expecting to arrive in the first or second week of August. So for it to arrive on my doorstep two weeks earlier than expected makes me a very happy customer. The BEST packaging I've ever come across! It was beyond secure! The seller shipped out quickly but USPS dropped the ball and it arrived late ~ as usual ~ but that is NOT the seller's fault. Wonderful customer service and quick response time. Art was packed with care and arrived quickly. Seller realized the original art piece I ordered had a hole so they offered another piece in exchange or a refund. I selected another piece of art and then was also sent the damaged piece as well as the new one! Exactly as described. Great value and will use this seller again if I need more art.
