Handmade in India,PINK Brocade Sequin Beaded Satin Floral Jewelry Box w/ Mirror. The top lifts up with a beaded "lifter" (a form of 'beaded handle'). MARKINGS= Not marked, but the bottom once had a sticker on it that I believe said "Handmade: Made in India". The inside is LINED with a pretty gold-toned silky SATIN. ~~~~-~~~~~-~~~~~-~~~~~ From my personal collection of fancy Jewelry Boxes. Since I collect a lot of jewelry, I also collect various jewelry boxes in which all my jewelry is organized into. This is one of my "extra" boxes that I don't need and am now selling. It reminds me of the Shabby Chic boxes that Rachel Ashwell collects too. ..~~..~~~.~~DESCRIPTION~~.~~~..~~.. Handmade. Beautifully hand-crafted with no missing beads. Padded Jewelry Box. Vintage: Over 30 years old. Rectangular. This Box was well-taken care of, and stored away until now. STYLE: I call this a "shabby chic" style box, since this box is just like the boxes that home-decorator Rachel Ashwell displays in her home (if you've ever read any of Rachel's home decorating books called "Shabby Chic Home"). . This box is covered in an "antiqued-gold" COLORED (Sari Style) Silk Tapestry or BROCADE, with a floral pattern throughout and then decorated with PINK and LAVENDER Sequins and tiny micro-beads in a swirly floral pattern. The top lifts up with a beaded "lifter" (a form of 'beaded handle'). . Inside the box there is a 5-ring compartment on the right, and then a deep compartment for other types of jewelry on the left. The inside is LINED with a pretty gold-toned silky SATIN. . Inside the lid there is a MIRROR that is 6X4 inches in size. . MARKINGS= Not marked, but the bottom once had a sticker on it that I believe said "Handmade: Made in India". {I have others similar, in my collection, that are of this same style and say "handmade", so I'm going by that. But you can also tell that it was handmade in the way the beads were done and how it was sewn and glued together. SEE close-ups). . MEASUREMENTS= This jewelry box is Medium-Small in size. It is 8 inches long & 5-1/2 inches wide & 3-3/4 inches deep. . NO Strange odors. It smells good. Plus it comes from a non-smoking home. . If you have any questions, please message me. . . .
