Description
English Victorian Brass & Glass Acorns Sardine Serving Dish With Tray & Spoon What I have to offer for your viewing pleasure here is this beautiful antique Victorian sardine dish! In bright gleaming, golden brass with a wonderful pattern of highly detailed oak leaves and acorns trimming the border of the tray and lid to the pressed glass dish. The arched handle has figural acorns on either side of a large oak leaf above the serving spoon rest. The name plate on the label reads "SARDINES" in hand chased lettering. It is just a gorgeous set! It is most likely English from Birmingham judging from the crown hallmark. It is hallmarked "EP" along with a crown and a makers mark that is too worn to make out. I believe someone previously polished it down to its base metal but it is in superb overall condition otherwise. It measures 7-5/8" long by 6-7/8" wide. To the handle it stands 6-1/4" high, the spoon measures 7-3/4" long. DO NOT DUPLICATE OR COPY! Template Made By: © InkFrog.com Auction Templates, Logos, Store fronts and more! inkfrog terapeak
