Description

This is a seedling of encyclia John Clark Cargill ( John Brunton 'Garnet Methmann' AM/AOS X microtos). Encyclia microtos is a species from Mexico. the encyclia John Brunton was awarded a year ago. This is the first release of this new hybrid! The flower pictures are the first 2 of the cross that have bloomed. This plant probably won't bloom until next year, as the other two are done blooming. So far it doesn't appear to be fragrant. The flowers get more of a copper color as they age. Typical cattleya culture. It can be grown cool to hot. I grow it cool to warm and it gets the same treatment as my cattleyas. Seems to do well. The flower pictures are of this plant. the plant pictures are what you are bidding on. sent in the pot.
