Description

Silver gelatin photograph on board titled “Jocko and I” depicting a man smoking rolled tobacco with his pet macaque (monkey species), circa early 20th century. In the background of the photo rests a depiction of early farm life. Jocko was a popular 18th - 19th century nickname given to monkeys and chimpanzees. Condition: Staining, inscribed, loss to edge of photograph, and warped. Measurements: 5.5” x 6.5” All measurements are taken to the nearest half inch.
