There is a long scratch on bottom gilt - may have been publisher's defect as the gilt is still on top of scratch. Couple of scratches on fore edge. There is a previous owner's bookplate on half title page. I have included separately a brand new bookplate to place over the present plate. Placed a piece of removable white paper over name of previous owner. This volume has the appearance of never been opened or read except for pictures. Bookends not included. Anyone interested in Upcountry South Carolina history would find this book fascinating. I highly recommend the seller, Homes for My Books. Seller answered messages very quickly and responsively. The book was packed quite well, shipped quickly, and arrived in perfect condition. Seller's description of the book was quite accurate but modest. It was described as "Very Good Plus" condition but for me it's closer to "Like New" -- it looks like it had just been pulled off a retailer's shelf.
