Datura4 is Mariani’s return to his blues and heads-down, full-tilt boogie roots. Blessed is the Boogie is ten new songs that build on Datura4s guitars to infinity approach of Hairy Mountain (2016) and the hard rocking, progressive blues and psychedelic stylings of debut album Demon Blues (2015). Both albums were released through Alive NaturalSound Records and gained critical acclaim at home, in Europe and the USA. Least I foget, second lead guitarist and co-conspiritor in Datura4 is Greg Hitchcock, former guitarist for Aussie band The Monarchs (worth checking out this band and their album Make Yer Own Fun [Shock Records, 2001], they rip like vintage Stems). This is wonderful full-bodied blues rock (slightly salted with psych), circa 1972. Trust me. There’s nothing wrong with that. And, for those of us who still love this sort of thing, think about three bands: Savoy Brown, Stray, and Wishbone Ash. THIS ITEM IS NEW AND UNPLAYED.
