Description
This porcelain vase decorated with koi/carp fish is a little different from the many others out there although the differences appear subtle. It is a little over 12", it is 6" wide at its' widest, the base is 4" and the weight is 2 lbs 10 oz. The condition is good with a firing rough piece inside that can be seen in the last picture. The inside is quite clean and it was either used very little or not at all. The porcelain is particularly white! It is possible that this piece is even older than the late Qing. I believe that the tiny mark on the bottom is a date/makers mark but I am not sure. I don't believe it was made for export since it does not say "MADE IN...." There is a $5 fee for additional insurance.
The item arrived in perfect condition, I nearly cried when I saw how beautiful it was in person. It was well packaged and arrived in a timely manner. It's now the crown jewel of my collection. Everything is as described and well worth what I paid.
The seller was very responsive to inquiries, very helpful and the item was shipped the same day! It arrived very well packaged and in pristine condition! I highly recommend this seller!!
