Bright yellow label with brown “SUN” logo and musical staff border. Catalog number 231 printed on both sides. Tracks: A: Defrost Your Heart (Cantrell–Claunch) B: A Wedding Gown of White (Claunch–Cantrell) Runouts (etched): Side A: 45-U-164 Side B: 45-U-165 These etched matrix numbers confirm this copy as the true first and only original pressing of Sun 231. No later Sun reissues were ever produced, making this an authentic piece of Memphis music history. Special markings: Both labels carry a green “RADIO STATION KDSJ” stamp, indicating this copy came directly from the library of radio station KDSJ (South Dakota, USA) and was used for broadcast in the 1950s. An additional marking “W 483” appears on the label, which was the internal catalog/inventory number of that radio station’s library. Such radio provenance adds historical significance and collector interest, showing that this very record was part of an active U.S. radio station archive during the rockabilly era. The records were as described, honest seller. I wish I had information from seller that the tracking wasn’t to my address, that it was going to a different address, and then being forwarded. Following the tracking had me concerned. So I recommend buyers communicate with the seller to understand that the tracking may not (at least in my case) indicate that it might go to a different address. Once it was forwarded I did receive tracking to my home. Still, great records, safe packaging.
