The aluminum sheave models are ideal for use with fiber ropes. Commonly called split frame or rescue pulleys, these are rated for serious work. These pulleys are popular in live events and motion picture production for securing loads, hoisting gear and tools from ground to grid. Very reliable. They have a lot of uses as simple pulleys, you don't have to be testing the limits to appreciate these pulleys. The split frame design allows you to add or remove from a standing line without pulling thru all the rope. By using the extra rigging hole at the bottom of the pulley, they can be daisy chained together in block and tackle fashion or the lower hole can be used to direct the load.
