You should get a new, modern power supply for your C64. That's your best option. The original Commodore power supplies can go out of spec AT ANY TIME and ruin sensitive chips! You wouldn't want this to happen with your new C64! If you are going to use an original Commodore 64 power supply, you should ONLY use it with a C64 Saver Cable or similar device. This will prevent over-voltage from going into your C64 in the event the power supply fails. DO NOT USE AN ORIGINAL COMMMODORE POWER SUPPLY!!!
