Antique Sad Iron No. 50 Detachable “Perfect” Handle Enterprise Mfg Co Phila PA . Iron marked “ENTERPRISE MFG CO. PA” on the base and “NO 50” with the size “2” under the handle. Detaches by pulling up on the knob under the handle. The handle clasp functions well. Late 1800s/early 1900s, Enterprise Mfg. Co. cast iron Sad Iron with original, detachable wood handle marked “PERFECT”. Late 1800s/early 1900s, Enterprise Mfg. Co. cast iron Sad Iron with original, detachable wood handle marked “PERFECT”. Size 2: measures 6 1/4" long, 3 1/2” wide, 4 7/8” tall (with handle) and weighs just under 5.25 pounds. Iron marked “ENTERPRISE MFG CO. PHILA. PA” on the base and “NO 50” with the size “2” under the handle. Detachable wood "Mrs. Potts" style handle is marked with a “C” on top of the cast iron attachment plate and a “7” underneath. Detaches by pulling up on the knob under the handle. The handle clasp functions well. Original condition with great patina and just enough rust to look its age. The handle marked “PERFECT” is unusual - we've not been able to find another one like it - and adds a distinctive touch for home decor.
