Item History - This special piece was found at an estate sale in a small town in Central Texas. While it was well loved by it's prior owner - a well-educated lady as well as an avid antique collector - it is now ready to make the perfect addition to your collection of unique treasures. It would also make a wonderful gift for the special someone in your life. Pictures simply do not do this piece justice. At first glance you are mesmerized by the ornate carvings and intricate inlay that surround the dancing couple on the front. You are then drawn in by how smooth the finish is on the back of the piece - like silk. It's at that point you realize that it opens. You find a mirror on one side and a concave oval on the other. If that isn't special enough - you realize that the piece opens beyond 180* and becomes a self-supporting vanity mirror. It truly is lovely. There are no markings to indicate the origin of the piece; however, it lends itself to Italian pieces of this era.
