Antique German Bisque Head Doll Gift Set On Original Store Display Card c1915 Description An exceptionally charming and increasingly scarce all-original antique doll gift set, preserved on its original store display card exactly as it would have appeared in a toy shop more than a century ago. The display card measures approximately 12 inches by 7 inches, while the doll measures approximately 7¼ inches tall. The doll features a bisque head with stationary glass eyes, delicately painted features, open mouth with teeth, original mohair wig, and composition body. Although the head markings are hidden by the original mounting and have not been examined, the doll strongly resembles examples produced by Armand Marseille during the early twentieth century. What makes this piece particularly special is the survival of the complete presentation. The doll remains attached to the original lace-covered display card accompanied by her wardrobe accessories, including a blue dress, undergarment, stockings, decorative ribbons, and original costume. The card itself is beautifully decorated and provides a wonderful glimpse into how dolls were displayed and sold in department stores and toy shops during the Edwardian era.
