This engraving is after a painting by Samuel Lane , a well-known English portraitist of the era, and was engraved by Samuel W. Reynolds , one of Britain’s most accomplished mezzotint engravers. Brilliant.As the picture is under glass, I was worried whether it would be secure during transit. My fears were unfounded and the picture arrived in great condition wrapped in the most packing material I can recall seeing.
