Description
Antique English Victorian era walnut desk top Book Stand / Book Case with sliding book ends. Folds flat for vintage travel and adventures. The book ends are decorated with brass cut, hammered and riveted design. Measures 13" x 4 5/8" when folded and flat - When slid open and expanded, the interior between walls is 21" long. There appears to be a crack to the wood where one of the hinges is fastened to the bottom. It is only visible from underneath. See last pictures. Some wear near the slide end on one side. Not suitable for tall, or awkwardly heavy books, as it is a rather slender design. Very attractive piece overall with nice patina.
