A unique antique Diamond and natural unheated blue Sapphire set claspon a triple row of Japanese Akoya Saltwater Pearls. Theclasp is 19th century and hand crafted from sterling silver with agold wash underside. The stylised Butterfly is unique in itsformation and has been set with natural white diamonds and a natural,untreated naturally mined blue Sapphire stone. The AkoyaSaltwater Pearls date from 1920s and recently restrung onhand-knotted silk. Natural diamonds - 1 x 4.2mm rounddiamond and 29 old mixed cut white diamonds. Natural Corundum(Deep Blue Sapphire), Round Mixed Cut, Transparent, Eye Clean, noevidence of heat treatment 4.27 x 3.36mm Pinctada Fucata(Akoya) Saltwater Cultured Pearls, round-near round, pink and greenovertones, very good lustre, 3.2mm - 8.2mm The clasp isunmarked sterling silver, tested. Length: 1.65 inches (4cm) Width: 20mm Necklace: Length (longeststrand): 19.5 inch (50 cm) Shortest strand length of pearls:17.3 inch (44cm) Shortest strand to end of clasp: 18.7 inch(48cm) Weight: 55.87g The Antique clasp is aged -the gold wash has mostly rubbed, there is a small break to thesterling silver with a small diamond deficit, unnoticeable when worndue to its location being surrounded by other diamonds.
