2011 Ltd. Edition American Indian Relief Council Sacagawea Coin Pendant. The central focus is Sacagawea and her son Jean Baptiste Charbonneau, originally designed by artist/sculptor Glenna Goodacre. The back depicts a soaring eagle and 17 stars, representing the states of the Union during the Lewis & Clark Expedition. An overview of the pendant shows a gold tone " commemorative coin", encased within a silver tone rope bezel. The front is a replica of the US Sacagawea Golden Dollar Coin, even including "In God We Trust". It includes the year, 2011, and is inscribed with "American Indian Relief Council" around the perimeter. The central focus is Sacagawea and her son Jean Baptiste Charbonneau, originally designed by artist/sculptor Glenna Goodacre. The back depicts a soaring eagle and 17 stars, representing the states of the Union during the Lewis & Clark Expedition. The top reads "United States of America", the left "E Pluribus Unum" and the bottom reads "Ltd. Edition Reproduction Copy" to communicate it is a novelty item and not legal tender. The piece is roughly 1.25" in diameter, not counting the bail at the top and weighs 0.8 oz. A lovely piece to display in your home or perhaps the start of a history lesson by a teacher.
