Description
Elias Hicks JOURNAL OF THE LIFE AND RELIGIOUS LABOUR OF ELIAS HICKS. Written by Himself. New York: Isaac T. Hopper, 1832. Third Edition. Leather. 451p. A hardcover book bound in full brown leather. Very good condition overall. Edges scuffed, and a deep rub mark at the top of the front cover. Old pencil marks on front endpapers. Foxing throughout, but otherwise, text unmarked and binding secure. Item #177593 The autobiography of Quaker minister Elias Hicks (1748-1830), whose teachings caused a schism that resulted in the Keithian sect of Friends.
Very well packaged. Better than some other sellers that just ship books in a Manila padded envelope. This seller had wrapped it in bubble wrap then placed in a box full of packed paper. Because of this extra careful attention the 139 year old book made it safe to its new forever home. The book arrived on time. As described. Great value for a book this old. The stain on front cover is exactly as described. I would prefer it to not have the stain but it definitely adds character.
First rate seller. The missal was exactly as described. The price was great value and the postage was both reasonable and very quick. It was very securely packaged and arrived in perfect condition. I really can’t rate this seller highly enough and I’m very happy to highly recommend them.
The item was exactly as described, which is always the case with Kubik Fine Books. The books were sold for a fair price. They were packaged very well, including padding and a nice sturdy box. The item shipped out quickly and arrived promptly. I will continue to buy from this seller.
