Assumed 1948-era edition of the Hardy Boys mystery book "WHILE THE CLOCK TICKED" by Franklin W. Dixon, #11 in the series, in very good condition with original dust jacket. Hardcover, from Grosset & Dunlap List of books on dust jacket ends at "Sign of the Crooked Arrow," no interior list so we estimate it was printed in or around 1949 (the front panel of the dust jacket is unclipped and has "7575" on inside flap. Back flap has a blurb for "Touchdown Pass", which would generally date this copy to 1948). 24 chapters. Book is in great condition, minor wear, pretty clean, no writing. Dust jacket has some edgewear and chipping, spine is a bit faded, large chip at top of spine (part of the word "WHILE" is gone," a few small tears, some minor smudging. Nice overall.
