Description

Journal intime (18111816). Carnet. Livres de dpenses by Paul Delbouille, Kurt Kloocke Estimated delivery 3-12 business days Format Hardcover Condition Brand New Description Volume 7 contains the journal written in Greek characters and kept by the author between 1811 and 1816. It traces his itinerary from the point where he left Switzerland for Germany up to his return to Paris under the Second Restoration. The journal records Constant's stay in Germany, the Cent-jours, his volte-face to Napoleon and the Empire, and his exile in London, alongside the author's errant sentimental attachments to Charlotte von Hardenberg, Juliette RA(c)camier, and Mme de StaAl, and his ongoing scholarly aspirations and frustrated political ambitions. The journal is followed by the carnet written after an accident, and a series of notebooks on his expenses, which Constant kept to his death. The texts come with the usual resources: a chronology, a record of the author's movements, listings of persons and proper names, a bibliography, and various indexes. 1. Book arrived today, 2 days before deadline given by the seller. Well-packaged & in good condition. Price was very competitive, & the book was accurately listed. Great communication. I appreciate the seller getting back to me when I was having trouble tracking the book's delivery progress. Apparently there were 2 different tracking numbers - one in Canada & the other in the U.S., since it was initially shipped from Canada. Thank you very much for your quick response & helpful information.

  2. The first item arrived with some damage to the inside back cover, but the seller responded immediately, assuring me they’d provide a replacement, and even told me I could keep the original. They were upfront about a short delay, and gave a clear estimated ship date, and followed up right on time once it shipped. The replacement arrived in perfect condition and exactly as described. I really appreciated their transparency and professionalism. Would definitely buy from them again!

  3. This seller is amazing. The appearance of the books I purchased are exactly as pictured. The quality is brand new and nothing was broken or bent when it arrived. The only issue I had was the wait time. However, the time it took them to actually ship the books was rather quick. They were very polite and answered my questions about the language the books are in and if they were lost in the mail. Shipping was my fault for not understanding processing times to ship to the US.
